Summer Vacation

We had a wonderful family trip down south to Klamath Falls.  It was great seeing so many family members (a kind of family reunion) for my youngest brother, Jared's, highschool graduation. (Nice work, Jared!)  We then traveled to Sunriver and stayed a few nights.  A lot of fun and new memories as well as enjoying God's beautiful creation!

After a few different people telling us how great the High Desert Museum was, we decided to go.  We weren't disappointed! So many animals and old displays, the boys and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I'm not sure if they were the 'spiders' or the 'insects'...in any case, this was a favorite!

Tunneling like 'golphers'.

Brotherly love.

This is what you might find in a field mouses home.

Little 'eaglets' in the big nest.

Of course, the cannon.....always a favorite!

A man from the "old days" telling us about life on the farm.

Our wonderful room at Sunriver.

Our deck at Sunriver.

Fun playgrounds!

We had told the boys, they could ride on the bumper cars that were there.  However, we found that they were closed....it was a good opportunity to teach about disappointment and being thankful, and the Lord provided something better for them...CONSTRUCTION.  Right outside of where we were eating dinner. They were so thrilled.  They sat on this bench for a good 20 minutes. :)

Having our dinner in the Sunriver Village.

Walking around Sunriver village.

Playground fun, again.

On one day we went to visit the firestation. (At Sunriver)  So much fun!  The boys got to get on the trucks, honk the horn, be carried by a fireman, and spray the hose!

Playing at the pool.

Michael loved being able to "swim" by himself in the pool. (It was about 1 foot deep)

Fun memories!
